Czech Republic

Quite coloury stuff, those Czech signs. The road number on a red background, non-motorway destinations on a blue background, sometimes a white background for innercity destinations and the general use of green all over. First approach sign just shows the number of the exit (distance-based). Then comes a fork sign that shows all directions and the exit number on top. The ID sign is often overhead, but sometimes the pull-trough sign is left out. The ID sign may then also be placed on the right-hand side of the road rather than overhead. The Czech are also good at placing a lot of focals on the signs and the use of capitals only has an adverse impact on readibility. I've seen up to eleven on an ID sign ...
