China

Motorways in China are signposted in green, unlike ordinary roads which are signposted in blue. The exits are numbered sequentially and signs are typically in Chinese and Latin characters. In the Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia autonomous regions, there are also tri-lingual signs. The approach and ID signs are pretty much equal, featuring the name of the exit (in this case a road name, out of town you would mostly see a village), the distance to the exit and the exit number. There are usually two or three AD signs, depending on the interdistance between exits. After the exit, there is a distance sign.
